Westchester Capital Management expands team

Westchester Capital Management (WCM), a registered investment adviser focusing on liquid alternative investment strategies, has appointed Michael Corigliano as an analyst and trader in the firm’s Investment Management Team, and Amy Nazimiec as associate compliance officer in the Business Management and Operations team. Both will be based in WCM’s Valhalla, New York office.

“We’ve expanded our suite of investment solutions as part of our long-term growth strategy, especially with the launch of several event–driven products over the past year, and adding talented professionals is essential to ensuring we continue to execute at highest level for our clients,” says Roy Behren, managing member and co-portfolio manager at Westchester Capital Management.
“Michael’s expertise in event-driven investing and derivative strategies will enhance our ability to construct market neutral portfolios and structure alpha-generating trades,” said Michael Shannon, managing member and co-portfolio manager at Westchester Capital Management, “and Amy’s exceptional track record operating with some of the country’s largest financial firms will bolster our operations team.”
Corigliano began his career at Citigroup, later working as an equity derivatives trader for Capstone Investment Advisors and Rodman & Renshaw/Hudson Securities. Prior to joining WCM he was an Equity Derivatives Portfolio Manager at Bell Curve Capital in Sea Cliff, New York.

Nazimiec began her career in 2005 at BlackRock and enhanced and developed her operations and compliance skills at Old Mutual Asset Management Trust Company. Prior to joining WCM she was a Compliance Analyst at Towers Watson Investment Services, Inc.
