FTSE and Research Affiliates launch new equity income index series

FTSE has extended its range of non-market capitalisation weighted indexes with the launch of the  FTSE RAFI Equity Income Index Series – the third series produced in conjunction with Research Affiliates.

This new series is designed to measure the performance of high yield stocks which have been screened to target sustainable income. Index constituents are selected and weighted using dividend yield and four fundamental factors, as opposed to market capitalisation.

The FTSE RAFI Equity Income Index Series provides new tools for market participants seeking sustainable yield, or who may wish to change the relationship between constituent price and index weight or reduce concentration in individual sectors, countries or regions.
