Intrinsic announces new protection panel

Intrinsic Financial Services has launched a new Protection panel for its restricted advisers with immediate effect.

Intrinsic has put together the new panel following research from three independent firms (Defaqto, CIExpert and F&TRC) to provide in-depth analysis on every provider’s products, features and benefits.

The panel now consists of seven providers. Legal & General is a new addition to the panel. AEGON, Bright Grey, Exeter Family Friendly, Friends Life, Old Mutual Wealth and Vitality have all been retained from the previous panel.

Richard Freeman, Intrinsic CEO, says:  “Intrinsic sees protection as the bedrock of all good financial advice, and we have an excellent track record of supporting our advisers in the protection market. I believe our new protection panel is a genuinely exciting development which will offer real benefits to our customers.”

Steve Bryan, Director, Intermediary Division at Legal & General, says:  “Intrinsic Group is a hugely important distribution network and we are delighted to be able to work with Intrinsic to develop protection sales. Intrinsic’s 3000 strong adviser network is the largest in the UK and it’s important that those advisers have access to a good range of products in order to drive the best possible customer outcomes.”

Andy Chapman, Chief Executive, Exeter Family Friendly, says: “We’re delighted that we’ve been selected to join this elite panel of providers and are looking forward to the opportunities this will present. As our innovative products continue to emphasise the importance of income protection, we’re confident the partnership will have a positive impact on income protection sales in the UK.”

Mark Cracknell, Head of Business Development at Friends Life, says:  “We are delighted to continue being part of the Intrinsic protection panel. Together we will continue to excel in the intermediary market by offering high quality, innovative and flexible products that meet the needs of our customers. We have a significant relationship with Intrinsic and by continuing to work closely together I am confident that we will continue to grow the partnership.”

David Ellis, Head of National Partnerships, Royal London, says: “At Royal London we are totally committed to working with likeminded intermediaries. With this in mind, we are delighted to be involved in Intrinsic’s new protection proposition as we believe their focus on delivering improved customer outcomes builds some strong synergies with the multi-benefit philosophy we promote through our Bright Grey product range.”
