RELATED TOPICS

Washington Trust has completed its acquisition of Halsey Associates, a New Haven, Connecticut-based registered investment adviser.

The acquisition, announced on 2 June, 2015 and completed on 1 August, 2015, increases Washington Trust Wealth Management's assets under administration to approximately USD6 billion, an increase of more than 15 per cent.

"This is a significant strategic acquisition for Washington Trust, as it expands our wealth management reach into the Connecticut-New York corridor and further strengthens our position as one of the region's top wealth management firms," says Joseph J MarcAurele (pictured), Washington Trust Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. "Halsey has a talented management team and a loyal group of clients; we are excited to welcome them to Washington Trust and look forward to the many benefits of our combined organisations."

Halsey Associates, Inc. will retain its name and operate as a Division of Washington Trust Wealth Management. Halsey President James S. Zoldy and his team will continue to work with Halsey clients through the firm's corporate offices at 234 Church Street, New Haven, CT.
