CLS Investments’ Core Plus ETF strategy to be included in the ERS Fund Strategist Network

CLS Investments’ Core Plus ETF strategy has been included in the newly-launched ERS Fund Strategist Network (Network), a majority-owned subsidiary of Envestnet, Inc.

The Network provides enterprises and advisors with additional investment management tools to serve their plan sponsors and participant clients. ERS provides monitoring and fiduciary oversight of a roster of investment strategists who manage assets in the defined contribution marketplace and utilise risk-based or target date portfolios of mutual funds and/or ETFs. Firms include institutional-grade strategists, as well as strategic and dynamic investment managers.

"We're honoured to have been selected by Envestnet as part of this elite group," says Todd Clarke, CEO, CLS. "Envestnet is doing important work in the retirement plan arena and we're proud that our approach was recognised as a key part of their network."

The CLS strategy utilises risk budgeting, relative strength, and asset class risk analysis to build and diversify portfolios. These portfolios are typically invested in eight to 20 ETFs with larger positions in core asset class ETFs and some smaller satellite positions in ETFs focused on specific sectors, countries, and alternative assets. ERS serves as the ERISA 3(38) Investment Manager on the portfolios to the plan sponsor.

"The strategists selected to partner with us in this endeavour have undergone a due diligence review and will be actively monitored," says Babu Sivadasan, Group President, ERS. "We look forward to a long-term relationship with CLS and to helping existing and future retirees gain access to the best financial support available."
