EdenTree Investment Management (EIM) has strengthened its team by appointing a new fund manager to run its UK Equity Growth Fund.

Philip Harris (pictured), who has over 23 years’ experience as a UK Smaller and Mid Cap Companies Fund Manager, joins from RWC Partners. Prior to that, he spent 11 years at Hermes Focus Asset Management, where he was the fund manager of the UK Specialist Focused Fund.

Harris has also held positions with Credit Suisse Asset Management and Threadneedle Investments, and has a particular focus on corporate activism. He joins EdenTree just two months after the company launched its new brand.

Sue Round, Director of Group Investments at EdenTree Investment Management, says: “Philip’s work over the years will bring fresh insight and experience to the strong team we already have at EdenTree. The UK Equity Growth Fund has consistently delivered for more than a decade, and it’s exciting for us to welcome Philip’s invaluable expertise in continuing to drive this forward. Building on our existing team is essential to our growth, and 2015 now looks set to be a standout year.”

The UK Equity Growth Fund has delivered top quartile performance within the IA UK All Companies sector and continues to achieve success today. It is a multi-cap fund with a small-cap bias and works by combining hand-picked, best-in-class, UK performers.
