EQIS launches Women CEO Focus Portfolio

EQIS Capital Management is offering a Women CEO Focus portfolio as part of its fee-based asset
management platform. This portfolio consists of Fortune 1000 companies whose CEO is a woman.

The Women CEO Focus portfolio, managed by EQIS's Dr Kenneth A Kim, Chief Financial Strategist, and Dr William R Nelson, Chief Investment Officer, was created after extensive research uncovered that these firms tend to outperform their benchmarks. "During our review of the academic research,
psychology research, and economics research, we found that women CEOs took fewer risks and operated more conservatively," says Kim.
"When we decided to do the research on this type of portfolio, we really weren't sure what we would find," says Joel T Bennett, EQIS's VP of Business Strategy. "What we did find was that these firms tended to be more profitable and to outpace the S&P 500. In addition, the holdings in this portfolio cross many sectors, including energy, utilities, food and beverage, technology, and services, so that brings down the risk of the portfolio."
"We decided to bring this type of portfolio to the public because it wasn't being offered widely to the general public," saysKim. The Women CEO Focus portfolio is available with a low minimum to EQIS clients through its national network of unaffiliated independent financial advisors.
EQIS is a registered investment adviser which provides an investing platform allowing average investors to obtain the same advantages that ultra high net worth investors have enjoyed for decades, such as separately managed accounts with multiple institutional money managers, broad diversification, and tax efficiency.
