Wedlake Bell Private Client Group strengthens contentious probate offering

London law firm Wedlake Bell has strengthened its private client offering with the hire of Andrew O’Keeffe, an experienced litigator, who joins the firm from Wilsons Solicitors where he was a Partner in the Litigation and Disputes Resolution team.

O’Keeffe specialises in contentious probate matters, with extensive experience in disputes concerning breach of trust, the administration of estates and claims under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975.
O’Keeffe is highly respected within his field. Legal 500 cites him as a leading Private Client specialist in the South West for contentious trusts and probate, whilst he is recognised in the Citywealth’s leader’s list category as a prominent contentious trusts lawyer.
He is a longstanding member of the Association of Contentious Trust and Probate Specialists (ACTAPS), an organisation which allows specialist practitioners to exchange experience and enhance skills in relation to contentious probate matters.
O’Keeffe says: “I am really looking forward to this new challenge. Wedlake Bell’s Private Client Group is renowned both nationally and internationally. Being immersed in a Private Client practice is an ideal environment, one in which to thrive and offer contentious probate litigation expertise to clients.”
Eleanor Metcalf (pictured), Head of the Private Client Group, says: “It is a real asset to the firm to have such an experienced litigator to boost our contentious probate offering. Andrew will strengthen the contentious offering of the Private Client Group and we look forward to strong growth as we face increasing demand from both domestic and international clients.”
