Miton recruits second European fund manager

RELATED TOPICS

Miton has appointed Thomas Brown (pictured) as a European equities fund manager in the firm’s investment team working alongside Carlos Moreno.

Subject to the appropriate FCA approvals, Miton intends to launch a European equity fund before the year end as part of the Group’s strategy to broaden its distinctive fund range to meet investor demand and to grow its assets under management.

Brown has 16 years investment experience. Previously he worked with Carlos at Thames River Capital where he was Analyst and Assistant Fund Manager on the Pan-European equities team. Prior to joining Miton, Brown worked at Mitsubishi UFJ Asset Management (UK) where he co-managed the European Value & Momentum Fund from April 2014 until November 2015. Prior to this he was an analyst at Scoggin Capital UK and before that he was Investment Director at the family office, JMH Capital Management.

Ian Dighé, Executive Chairman of Miton Group, says: “Thomas is a valuable addition to Miton, bringing additional expertise and experience alongside Carlos as we look to launch a European equity fund within our existing range of UK and US equity funds.

“Our genuinely active approach to investing is resonating with investors by providing differentiated and complementary funds. We are confident that a new European fund from Miton will be well received.”
