Octopus appoints Lotfi Ladjemi to Strategic Partnerships team

Octopus Investments has appointed Lotfi Ladjemi as Strategic Partnerships Manager to support the company’s growing activity in the wealth management market.

Octopus is committed to partnering with private banks and wealth management firms to provide attractive investment solutions to help their clients realise their financial goals. Today’s announcement follows swiftly on the heels of the company’s appointment last month of Tim Lambert to its rapidly expanding Stategic Partnerships team.
Lotfi joins from Draycott Capital, a fund raising and advisory boutique that he co-founded. The firm specialised in fund raising through start-ups, Venture Capital Trusts (VCT) and Enterprise Investment Schemes (EIS) for a high net worth client base. Prior to Draycott, Lotfi spent two years as a sales director at Amundi Asset Management, where he was responsible for managing accounts with key global financial institutions including UBS and JP Morgan.
Lotfi’s previous experience includes working at Citi Private Bank, where he managed relationships with UK family offices and institutional clients, and Macquarie Bank.
Steve Skelding, Head of Wealth Management at Octopus, says: “We’re absolutely committed to becoming the partner of choice for wealth managers as we see  increased demand from high net worths and family offices for tax efficient investments on the back of the latest pension reforms. Lotfi brings in-depth knowledge of the wealth management industry and has a strong understanding of investors’ needs, both of which will prove invaluable as we work more closely with the wealth management community. His entrepreneurial spirit makes him an excellent fit for Octopus as we continue to think of how best to support our clients.”
Ladjemi says: “I am looking forward to working with the team at Octopus to develop our relationships with private banks and wealth management firms. Octopus has a rapidly growing presence in the wealth management  market on the back of its proven and successful track record of delivering innovative and tax efficient investment solutions for investors. It’s an exciting time to be joining as we expand our services to the wealth management community.”
Along with the recent appointments of Lotfi and Tim, Octopus has underlined its growing commitment to the wealth management industry by hosting a Private Client Dinner at The Churchill Hotel, London on Thursday 26 November – attracting over 100 high-net-worth advisers. In addition, Octopus is currently hosting a series of breakfast briefings in association with Owen James, aimed at Heads of Wealth Planning from private banks and wealth management firms.
