The Association of Professional Financial Advisers (APFA) has today announced that

Paul Beasley, Managing Director of the Richmond House Group, has been appointed to the Association of Professional Financial Advisers (APFA) Council.

Chris Hannant, Director General at APFA, says: "We are pleased to welcome Paul to the Council.  Paul has been active in campaigning for a better deal for advisers and I welcome the energy and insight he will add to the APFA Council. This is a critical time for the profession and APFA will continue to work closely with its members to best represent their interests."

Paul Beasley, Managing Director of the Richmond House Group, says: “I want to bring the passion that I share with the overwhelming majority of financial advisers, for what we do for our clients, to the attention of the regulators.

“It is clear they do not really understand the value that we add and the damage that is being done by the escalating cost of regulation. This has resulted in an advice gap as increased costs price the general public out of the market.

“I want to help advisers channel their anger positively through APFA to the FAMR. I would urge all advisers to join and support APFA as the only credible trade body likely to achieve change.”
