US ETF assets down in 2015

ETFGI’s figures show that ETFs/ETPs listed in the US had a drop in net new assets in 2015, down from their 2014 high.

 The firm reports that some USD239.8 billion was raised in net new assets in 2015, less than the record USD244.3 billion gathered in 2014. In December USD38.0 billion of net new assets were gathered making it the largest asset gathering month for the year and marking the 11th consecutive month of positive net inflows. 
 
At the end of 2015, the US ETF/ETP industry had 1,843 ETFs/ETPs, assets of USD2,130 billion, from 94 providers on three exchanges, according to ETFGI.
