ETF Securities has appointed Stan Kiang as Director of Strategic Partnerships. In his new role, Kiang will focus on maintaining and expanding partnership opportunities with national accounts platforms and asset managers.

Kiang will be based in San Francisco and report to Executive Director and Head of US, Steve Dunn.

"Stan brings a high-level of expertise to our U.S. business, combining a deep understanding of the ETF industry and broad knowledge of the institutional and retail marketplaces," says Dunn. "Clients will benefit from his keen market insights and comprehensive knowledge of ETF products and services."

Kiang delivers approximately 20 years of financial-industry expertise to his new position. Prior to joining ETF Securities, he served more than a decade at BlackRock, with a specialisation in portfolio management, sales, and corporate development and strategy. His extensive background includes managing commodity futures and emerging-market equity-based products, as well as maintaining relationships with wealth management intermediaries and ETF strategists.

His appointment follows the firm's 2015 appointments of Mr. Dunn as Executive Director and Head of US Distribution, and James Butterfill as Head of Research and Investment Strategy.

"Having this team of highly-skilled professionals lead our operations demonstrates our commitment to expanding our US market share and positioning the firm for substantial growth," says ETF Securities Chief Executive Officer Mark Weeks.
