Boston Private Wealth makes strategic hires

Boston Private Wealth has hired executives from two wealth advisory firms – Filigree Advisors and Mikus Capital Management – which extend its wealth management presence in California and Florida, markets that the firm has targeted as part of its ongoing growth strategy.

Clients will have access to a full suite of world-class wealth management solutions, as well as personal and business banking and trust services from Boston Private Bank & Trust Company, the parent company of Boston Private Wealth.

Gerald Graves joins Boston Private Wealth as Executive Managing Director, West Coast Division. Prior to co-founding Filigree Advisors, Graves was President of M Financial Wealth Management, where he led the design, development and implementation of the firm's wealth management business. Before joining M Wealth, Graves was Executive Director and a Managing Partner of LEAP Partners, LLC in San Francisco, California. He also held a variety of senior leadership positions at Charles Schwab & Co., Inc., including Chief Operating Officer of Schwab’s Institutional Services for Investment Managers.
 
Chris Dudley joins as a Senior Wealth Advisor and Director of Sports & Entertainment, transitioning from his role as Chief Investment Officer at Filigree Advisors. Prior to Filigree, Dudley served as Vice President of M Financial Wealth Management. Dudley also enjoyed a 16-year career as a player in the National Basketball Association (NBA), during which he served as Executive Treasurer of the NBA Players Association and a member of the Players Association Negotiating Committee. Dudley is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP).
 
Previously Director of Wealth Services for Filigree Advisors, Sarah Pearce joins Boston Private Wealth as an Associate Client Advisor. Prior to Filigree, Pearce was a Program Manager at a strategic branding and design agency. She holds the Financial Industry Regulatory (FINRA) Series 65 license.
 
With the addition of Mikus Capital Management, Boston Private Wealth expands it presence to the island of Palm Beach in addition to its existing office in Palm Beach Gardens.
 
William Mikus joins as a Managing Director and Senior Business Development Officer. Mikus is the Founder, President, and CEO of Mikus Capital Management, located in Palm Beach. He brings over 36 years of industry experience, beginning his career in the trading rooms of Bank of Boston, Citibank, and Salomon Brothers. Mikus has a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Syracuse University’s Maxwell School of Public Administration. He is also involved in the Palm Beach community, serving on the boards and committees of many prominent clubs and organizations, including the Salvation Army Advisory Board of Palm Beach County, The Beach Club, the Town of Palm Beach Investment Committee, and the Palm Beach Civic Association.
