Brewin Dolphin opens Cambridge office

RELATED TOPICS

Discretionary wealth manager Brewin Dolphin is opening a new office in Cambridge to cater for the growing number of people in the area seeking financial planning and investment advice.

Heather Sonnet, a chartered financial planner who has spent over ten years advising many of Cambridge’s residents, will join Brewin Dolphin to lead the office with further hires expected to be made in due course.

Nick Fitzgerald (pictured), Brewin Dolphin’s head of financial planning, says: “Cambridge is a dynamic and energetic city with a large population, a highly successful and expanding world-renowned university and a growing reputation as a go-to location for businesses. We see tremendous potential to grow our business here, providing financial planning advice to a range of people who are looking to make the most of life’s opportunities, including retirement and school fee planning, investments and estate planning.

“I am delighted to welcome Heather to the team. She will be supported by our offices in Ipswich and London joining a well-established network of financial planners across our UK network. Her appointment is yet a further reflection of our commitment to grow our team. We are actively looking to expand our presence in Cambridge with more hires and look forward to making further announcements regarding this in due course.”

Brewin Dolphin’s office opening complements the firm’s strong regional network throughout the UK and is part of the firm’s broader strategy to grow its presence in the South East.

Cambridge has benefited from huge investment in recent years, as has the wider area, with the so-called ‘Silicon Fen’ cluster of high-tech businesses continuing to be a key driver of the region’s growth.
