BCRS Associates members join EY Private Client Services

Members of BCRS Associates (BCRS), including co-founders John Cook and Joe Bulger, are now a part of the Ernst & Young (EY) Private Client Services (PCS) tax practice and aligned within the firm's Financial Services Organisation.

BCRS, a tax firm, has focused on the needs of high net worth individuals and family offices of individual high net worth and family office clients.
"This expansion, along with the recent addition of Family Office Metrics (FOM), positions EY as one of the largest globally and functionally integrated service providers assisting family offices and high net worth individuals," says Kate Barton, EY Americas Vice Chair of Tax Services. "This group will be at the heart of the EY Family Office offering, supporting clients through highly skilled technical teams from across all of our service lines, including close alignment with the EY Global Family Business Center of Excellence and Strategic Growth Markets."
With the addition of the BCRS team, the US firm will further expand its current service offerings of income and estate planning, charitable gift planning and cross border tax compliance.
"The highly fragmented market often leaves family offices with a patchwork of service providers at a time when they are facing complex tax issues impacting their business interests, personal interests, investments and other financial-related assets," said co-founder of BCRS, John Cook. "We agree with EY's comprehensive approach and commitment to provide integrated, global services for family offices and high net worth individuals."
Co-founder Joe Bulger agrees: "BCRS's guiding philosophies and depth of services has been in step with EY's. A central principal of both organisations is to develop long-term relationships so we understand our clients' needs and can provide exceptional client service based on those needs," he says. "By joining EY, we will be able to deliver a suite of globally integrated services that are unparalleled anywhere else in the marketplace."
