Invesco PowerShares expands capital markets team

Invesco PowerShares, a leading global provider of exchange-traded funds (ETFs) and part of Invesco, has expanded its capital markets team with the appointment of Jim Goldie as Head of ETF Capital Markets – EMEA and Michael Delew as ETF Capital Markets Research Analyst.

Goldie will be responsible for managing the business’s EMEA capital markets team and driving its strategy whilst maintaining its strong connections with market makers and stock exchanges throughout the region.
Prior to joining Invesco PowerShares, the fourth largest ETF provider globally, Goldie was ETF and Capital Markets Specialist at Vanguard, before which he worked for Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Finance from the University of Strathclyde.
Delew has relocated from the US where he has been with Invesco PowerShares for about five years.
Bryon Lake, Head of Invesco PowerShares – EMEA, says: “The demand for smart beta strategies is growing rapidly in Europe, as evidenced by our research report ‘The Emergence of a New Era in Index Investing’ which found that 69% of existing users expect to increase their allocation in the next three years. Jim’s expertise will be invaluable as we continue to build our product offering, and will play a critical role in supporting our team in achieving the highest standards of trade execution. The team, including Michael, will work closely with market makers to ensure best execution.”
