TD Asset Management launches six passive ETFs

TD Asset Management (TDAM), the manager of TD Mutual Funds, has launched six passive exchange traded funds (ETFs).

These new passive ETFs include fixed income and equity solutions designed to help investors capture the performance of broad-based Canadian fixed income and Canadian, US and international markets.

"As one of Canada's leading investment managers, we continually look for ways to help investors meet their most important challenges," says Tim Wiggan, Chief Executive Officer, TDAM. "Our goal is to bring new thinking to the table and to create solutions that meet the changing needs of our clients. With our longstanding experience managing ETFs for institutional clients, this is a natural extension of our offerings by providing more choice and flexibility to investors."

The six ETFs, which are now available for purchase on the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX), are:
TD Canadian Aggregate Bond Index ETF (TDB); TD International Equity Index ETF (TPE); TD International Equity CAD Hedged Index ETF (THE); TD S&P 500 Index ETF (TPU); TD S&P 500 CAD Hedged Index ETF (THU); and TD S&P/TSX Capped Composite Index ETF (TTP).
