Citi Private Bank names Ida Liu as global market manager in New York

Citi Private Bank announced today that Ida Liu, currently Head of the North America Asian Clients Group, has been appointed Global Market Manager for New York, effective 9 May, 2016. 

In her new role, Liu will focus on new client acquisition, increasing investments business, cross Citi partnerships and developing key external relationships. Liu will report to Tracey Warson, Head of North America, Citi Private Bank and join the Citi Private Bank North America Leadership Team.

“New York is one of our most important markets in North America. As a consistent, top performing Senior Private Banker since she joined the firm in 2007, Ida’s vision, passion for the Private Bank and strong leadership skills will build on our success and position the business for even greater growth in the future,” says Warson. “Ida’s appointment is also an example of the strength and depth of our talent within the Private Bank, and our commitment to the growth and development of our people,” she continued.

Since 2011, Liu has led the North America Asian Clients Group in addition to her role as a Senior Private Banker. Prior to joining Citi, Liu was Global Head of Sales, Marketing and Business Development for Vivienne Tam. Previously, Liu worked in Merrill Lynch’s Investment Banking division, in both New York and Hong Kong.
