Ludlow targets national expansion with new appointment

Darren Scoon, a wealth management expert with more than 25 years’ experience, has joined Ludlow as its 20th consultant. He will be tasked with developing the firm’s client base in Scotland.

Scoon joins the group from Principal and Prosper Ltd where he was business development manager.  Prior to that role he was national development manager – At Retirement, for Standard Life plc.
Sid Ludlow, chief executive of Ludlow, says: “Darren is a fantastic addition to the team and brings with him the attributes and knowledge that our clients expect. Our objective is to grow our presence Scotland under Darren’s guidance while following our model that has helped us to develop as a business.”
Scoon adds: “Ludlow has an excellent reputation within the profession and values that mirror my own. The firm’s philosophy and ambition also impressed me which is complemented by its commitment to the best at everything it does. However what I did see from the outset was how Ludlow puts its clients at the centre of everything it does.
“I’m looking forward to working with the board in developing the firm’s operation in Scotland as it certainly provides a lot of opportunities to the right business. Ludlow is that business and its vision, ethos and values will impress clients that want to deal with a wealth management business that truly looks after them.”
