Rowan Dartington appoints new investment manager in London

Rowan Dartington has appointed Alex Philipson to the position of investment manager.

Based in London, Philipson, who joined the company from Quilter Cheviot where he spent four years, will be actively managing private clients’ assets and will report to head of wealth Paul Field.

“We are very pleased to see Alex joining us this year and are confident that he will help the business continue to grow and achieve its ambitions. He is a great addition to the team and has a wealth of experience dealing with private clients as well as IFAs, which are two segments we are focusing on as a whole of market DFM,” says executive chairman Graham Coxell.

“It is a very exciting time for the company and I look forward to being part of this growth story.  The historically strong investment performance and calibre of the central investment proposition, provides me with great comfort that this is an excellent home for all types of existing and future clients,” says Philipson.

A chartered MSCI, Alex is a very experienced discretionary management professional, having spent 13 years at Williams de Broë where he built his experience utilising all asset classes and financial instruments. Beside his role at Rowan Dartington, Alex is also shareholder and non-executive director of Eco-Positive, a London based renewable energy project finance and development company.
