BDO USA has appointed Jeffrey Kane as the firm's new National Managing Partner for Private Client Services (PCS).
Kane, who previously served as the leader of BDO’s National Tax Office, has more than 40 years of experience providing tax and financial consulting services to high-net-worth individuals. The appointment, which is a new position, is effective immediately.
“I want to congratulate Jeff on this new appointment. He possesses a wealth of experience in tax and financial consulting that make him uniquely qualified for this important position,” says Wayne Berson, CEO of BDO USA. “By bringing in a national leader and committing additional resources, we believe we will unlock the vast potential of our private client services both domestically and internationally.”
BDO’s Private Client Services is experienced in all aspects of estate and gift, income and trust taxation; charitable giving and philanthropic foundations; executive compensation; and cash-flow, retirement, and life insurance planning. The firm has a wealth of professional resources dedicated to providing services to family offices and helping high wealth individuals achieve their objectives, while minimising tax burdens.
“I am extremely happy to be chosen for this new position and look forward to working with the fine professionals in the PCS practice. BDO has always had a strong PCS team working with high net-worth individuals, closely-held business owners and C-suite executives in pockets around the country, but it has never been organised nationally. With the additional resources the firm is putting into PCS, we will be able to unlock the full potential of the practice,” says Jeff Kane. “BDO’s overarching approach of providing clients with high-touch, partner attention is a natural fit with the PCS practice. We begin with an understanding that each individual is exactly that – an individual. We do a lot of listening. Our goal is to provide a unique course of action to each client, with strategies tailored to that person or family’s specific needs and objectives.”
