Fiduciary Trust Company International, a global investment manager and wholly-owned subsidiary of Franklin Resources, has appointed Hank Murphy as a managing director and portfolio manager responsible for investment manager research, selection and monitoring.
He will be based in the firm’s headquarters in New York City.

Murphy joins Fiduciary Trust with over 25 years of experience in alternative investments. Most recently, he served as a partner and director of Investor Relations and Business Development at SLS Capital, a New York-based hedge fund. He has also held senior positions at Investcorp International, where he founded and managed Investcorp’s hedge fund seeding platform, as well as Tiger Management and Cambridge Associates. Prior to entering the investment business, Mr. Murphy served as a Lieutenant and Division Officer in the U.S. Navy. He received his Master of Arts in International Relations from Boston University and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of New Hampshire.
