Beaumont Capital Management hires Eric Biegeleisen as Director of Quantitative Research

RELATED TOPICS

Beaumont Capital Management (BCM), a provider of tactical, ETF-based investment solutions, has hired Eric Biegeleisen, CFA, as Director of Quantitative Research, effective 16 June, 2016.

In addition to leading the quantitative analysis, Biegeleisen will also manage several future investment portfolios created for BCM. Biegeleisen’s deep analytics experience will expand BCM’s capabilities and investment strategies at a time of significant growth in the firm. BCM’s assets under management and administration have experienced a threefold increase over the past two years to more than USD2.8 billion.

“Eric is recognised in the industry as an innovative investment strategist and quantitative theorist, and we are thrilled to have him join our team,” says Dave Haviland, Managing Partner and Portfolio Manager of BCM. “Eric will oversee and lead our quantitative team focusing on the development of new rules-based investment strategies and continue to serve as a thought leader in the industry. With Eric on board, we are better positioned to capitalise on areas that align with our defensive approach and commitment to comprehensive research.”

Biegeleisen joins BCM from Broadmeadow Capital, LLC, which he co-founded in 2014 and served as Chief Investment Officer and Portfolio Manager. Previously, Biegeleisen worked for Windhaven Investment Management as a Senior Investment Analyst and then Director of Research, specifically leading the firm’s quantitative modelling, product due diligence and portfolio structuring.

“The opportunity to join a firm as well-regarded and fast-growing as Beaumont Capital Management is tremendously exciting,” says Biegeleisen. “I look forward to further contributing to the team’s research efforts and strong lineup of products, in addition to providing new strategies. BCM’s thoughtful, defensive and client-first philosophy aligns with my personal investment principles, and I am eager to continuing to build on that legacy.”
