APFA announces Financial Services Forum events

The Association of Professional Financial Advisers (APFA) has launched the inaugural Financial Services Forum events with the initial two events to be held in the Northwest of England on 6 October and London on the 22 November.

The events are organised in partnership with Deepbridge Capital and APFA’s associate partners.

The half-day events will provide advisers with the opportunity to hear from senior regulators, industry thought-leaders and policy makers on the key issues affecting advisers and advisory businesses. APFA members will receive a discount on tickets.

Attendees will be able to listen to expert insight on the latest industry developments; put their questions directly to the regulator and government on policy initiatives; and network with others in the advice profession and providers.

Chris Hannant, director general at APFA, says: “At APFA we are keen to find new ways to reach out to members as well as the wider adviser community, and hope this new format of event will be well received. We are also keen that these events should not be ‘preachy’ in tone. Instead we want to provide a series of panel sessions on which we will always seek to have a voice from the advice profession.

“We are delighted that our associate partners are once again supporting us with these two initial events. If the events are successful we will then look to host similar events in other regions in 2017.”
