Prydis hires two pension specialists

Prydis, the Exeter-based wealth manager and founder of Strawberry Invest, has appointed two financial advice practitioners to the business, both specialising in Self-Invested Personal Pensions (SIPPs) and Small Self-Administered Schemes (SSAS).

Ashley Rawlings is an experienced corporate finance professional and is well-versed in SIPP and SSAS-led funding of commercial property and other company assets for a wide range of corporate clients. He has owned and grown several successful businesses in the SME space, which has provided him with specialist knowledge of the challenges facing this sector.

Rawlings’ role at Prydis will be to build long term relationships with corporate clients to develop and implement corporate finance, strategy and wealth management solutions, alongside pension advice.

Julian Puddy has over 14 years’ experience in the financial advice arena, having initially worked at Friends Life and latterly at two specialist IFAs providing holistic financial planning to private clients and with particular strengths in the protection and SIPP & SSAS markets.

Puddy is a senior consultant able to provide focused pensions advice to business owners and company directors throughout the UK.

James Priday, managing director, Prydis, says: “As the business continues to go from strength to strength, we felt it necessary to bring in more experienced professionals within our offering for the business advice marketplace. We believe both Ashley and Julian provide a perfect fit for Prydis as we put in place our expansion strategy and enhance our SIPP and SSAS advice proposition.”

Earlier this year, Prydis launched P1 Investment Management, a discretionary fund management (DFM) proposition for high quality advisory firms. P1 offers a General Investment Account (GIA), an Individual Savings Account (ISA), a Junior ISA, a SIPP, as well as the ability to manage assets from third party product providers.
