Bangkok Capital Asset Management has chosen the Charles River Investment Management Solution (IMS) as the consolidated front and middle office platform to support its asset management business.

The SaaS-based Charles River IMS gives the Bangkok Bank subsidiary a single solution to automate their investment process, from portfolio management through trading, compliance, and settlement. BCAP gains a complex-wide view of its portfolios and holdings and can streamline decision support and risk monitoring. Complemented by the Charles River Data Service, BCAP’s front office also benefits from real-time pricing for global and local Thai markets.

BCAP is working with Charles River to: deploy portfolio management and integrated performance measurement and attribution; implement a common trading platform across asset classes; monitor compliance and risk throughout the investment process; access real-time pricing and benchmarks; and automate the trade settlement process.

“The Charles River Investment Management Solution gives us the capabilities and scale to grow our business,” says Thanavut Pornrojnangkool, Chief Information Officer, BCAP. “Our Portfolio Managers and Traders now have the automation and data they need to make better investment decisions. We can improve our performance and gain greater insight into our risks and opportunities.”

“New asset managers like BCAP need to achieve business growth at a more predictable cost,” says Cameron Field, Managing Director-APAC, Charles River. “Charles River IMS enables firms to replace many systems with one multi-asset platform. This streamlines operations and helps them bring new products to market faster.”
