Kocher has worked in the industry for 16 years and holds an MBA in finance from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Science in chemical engineering from the University of Virginia.
Chen will serve as quantitative research analyst and provide quantitative support for the ongoing execution and enhancement of the firm's investment methodology and portfolio management. He previously worked as a research analyst for Merrill Lynch. Chen holds a Bachelor of Science in both physics and mathematics from Michigan State University and a master's in statistics from Rice University.
"As our firm continues to evolve, we believe that adding new talent to our investment team is fundamental to our success by helping our clients reach their investment goals. We aggressively recruited over the last year and we expect the trend to continue. We are thrilled to have Josh and Ray join our team, as they both exhibit the hard-working ethic that characterises our employees and is crucial to maintaining our culture," says Eric Hare, president at AFAM Capital.
Innealta chief investment officer Dr Vito Sciaraffia says: "Josh has a proven track record of success both academically and professionally. Particularly, his experience in global fixed income markets will be instrumental to further enhancing our quantitative investment framework. He will be the lead portfolio manager for our fixed income solutions. Ray is what I call a true quant: excellent academic pedigree, a math background, and an impressive passion for finance. We feel that our culture paired with the right opportunity attracted talent of this calibre. Josh and Ray's additions prove that we will continue to deliver institutional quality solutions for retail investors."
