Smith & Howard appoints director of investments


Valerie Nichols had joined Atlanta wealth management firm Smith & Howard Wealth Management as director of investments.

Nichols joins the firm having spent the past 19 years with SunTrust Bank, most recently as senior vice president and investment strategist in the investment advisory group. She was responsible for over USD700 million in assets under management for individual clients, trusts and foundations.
She spent several years early in her career at the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta.
Tim Agnew, managing director of Smith & Howard, says: “Valerie’s history and deep expertise in the investment and wealth management arena combined with her approach to client relationships and service make her a great fit for Smith & Howard Wealth Management.
