Head Investment Partners joins Triad’s hybrid RIA platform

Head Investment Partners has transitioned to Triad Advisors’ broker-dealer and hybrid multi-custodial registered investment advisory (RIA) platform.

Head Investment Partners, an independent financial advisory firm, brings approximately USD190 million in total fee-based advisory and brokerage assets, as of 1 June 2016.
Triad Advisors is an independent broker-dealer supporting independent hybrid financial advisory practices and RIA firms, and is a wholly owned subsidiary of Ladenburg Thalmann Financial Services.
Head Investment Partners will affiliate with Triad through Triad Hybrid Solutions, a specialised RIA entity serving independent financial advisers seeking the flexibility of their own RIA while taking advantage of Triad’s compliance, regulatory, technological and marketing support.
Based in Knoxville, Tennessee, Head Investment Partners serves the multi-generational wealth management needs of affluent families, business owners, corporate executives and professionals across the US. The firm also provides investment management services for corporate accounts and insurance companies.
Founded by Daniel Head, a 35-year veteran of the financial services industry, the firm has a total of four advisers and two support professionals, including Barbara Million, vice president, senior financial planner and private wealth adviser, Steven Witt and Brian Dickey.
Michael C Bryan, CEO of Triad Hybrid Solutions and senior vice president, advisory services, for Triad Advisors, says, “We are proud that Head Investment Partners has joined the Triad family and chosen to align with Triad Hybrid Solutions. Over the years, Head Investment Partners has established an exceptional reputation serving high-net-worth clients, especially throughout the Southeast, and we are eager to assist them in their mission to grow their firm and enhance the quality of the high-level services they offer their clients.”
Employing a largely fee-based business model, Head Investment Partners creates customised portfolios for each individual client, based on their needs and financial goals. The firm’s active wealth management approach, based on the core tenets of “plan, protect and grow,” places a principal emphasis on the management of risk and volatility.
Daniel Head, founder and managing director of Head Investment Partners, says: “We are delighted to transition to Triad Advisors and align with Triad Hybrid Solutions. This strategic move will enable us to greatly improve our client service by freeing us to choose for ourselves best-in-class technology that optimally serves our clients’ needs, and to provide open-architecture investment solutions that fulfil our risk-averse investment philosophy and reflect our own analytical skills, without being subjected to the pressures imposed by a corporate parent. This transition will also free us to add additional advisers and new offices, as part of our longer-term growth strategy.”
