The KraneShares CSI China Internet ETF (KWEB) has been awarded a 5-star Morningstar rating for its three-year performance.
As of 32 July, KWEB ranked number one out of 24 exchange-traded funds (ETFs) within the China region category, based on the risk-adjusted returns for the three-year period.
For each fund with at least a three-year history, Morningstar calculates their rating based on a Morningstar Risk-Adjusted Return measure that accounts for variation in a fund's monthly performance and rewards consistent performance.
The top 10 per cent of funds in each category receive 5 stars.
"We believe KWEB's 5-star rating is a testament to the rise of the Chinese consumer, and the long-term trend of ecommerce growth in China," says Jonathan Krane, CEO of KraneShares. "Over the past three years KWEB was not only the number one China region ETF according to Morningstar, it also outperformed the S&P 500 index over the same time period."
