Active Investment Advisors, a division of Natixis Global Asset Management, has changed its name to Active Index Advisors to better reflect its commitment to combining the benefits of both active management and index management.
Founded in 2002, Active Index Advisors has experience in index-based strategies including separately managed accounts and mutual funds, core beta and smart beta, and individual equities and exchange-traded fund (ETF) portfolios.
Active Index Advisors seeks to maximise returns for clients after taxes using index-based separately-managed accounts.
“Our name change better explains the investment solutions we offer to our clients,” says Kevin Maeda, chief investment officer of Active Index Advisors. “These solutions are both active and passive as we provide active management along with the diversification, risk management, and low cost of index management. Our specialty is building unique, custom portfolios to satisfy the unique needs of each client.”
While the name has changed, there has been no change in ownership, people or process at Active Index Advisors and the group will continue to provide service for the separately managed account business of Natixis Global Asset Management. This name change is effective immediately.
