Tilney appoints head of investment management


Tilney, the investment management and financial planning business of the Tilney Bestinvest group, has appointed Miles Robinson as head of investment management in London.

Previously head of Tilney for intermediaries along with head of the Birmingham office, Robinson will now operate from the firm’s Mayfair office and report into Alan Edwards, head of investment management in England.
Robinson initially joined Tilney in 1999 on work experience placement, and over 17 years has covered a number of roles within the company. In his new role of head of investment management in London, he is responsible for the management and strategic operation of the Tilney’s 40 London-based investment managers.
The group has also appointed Adam Parker to the role of head of Midlands investment management. A Chartered Financial Analyst, Parker has been a director of Tilney since 2008 and has worked closely alongside Robinson over this time. Parker will continue to work from the group’s Birmingham office and will also report into Alan Edwards.
Edwards says: “With the merger of Towry and Tilney Bestinvest now complete, we are excited to be able to move forward with the process of creating an industry leading investment management offering. Having two excellent and experienced professionals like Miles and Adam managing our London and Birmingham team’s will ensure we can make the most of the incredible breadth and depth of talent the group contains within its Tilney Investment Management business, which ultimately will mean our clients receive an unmatched level of service.”
