First Asset launches ETFs actively managed by Cambridge Global Asset Management

First Asset Investment Management has launched the First Asset Cambridge Core Canadian Equity ETF (FCE) and First Asset Cambridge Core U. Equity ETF (FCY, FCY.B) on the Toronto Stock Exchange.

Both ETFs are managed by Cambridge Global Asset Management, an affiliate of First Asset.   
 
"These ETF solutions demonstrate our ongoing commitment to providing financial professionals with choice in tools to navigate the evolving investment landscape,” says Brandon Snow, principal and chief investment officer, Cambridge Global Asset Management. “Our differentiated investment philosophy remains consistent allowing us to look for opportunities to deliver value and support the growth of wealth over time."
 
The First Asset Cambridge Core Canadian Equity ETF invests in an actively managed portfolio comprised primarily of equity and equity-related securities of large and mid-capitalisation Canadian issuers. 
 
The First Asset Cambridge Core US Equity ETF invests in an actively managed portfolio comprised primarily of equity and equity-related securities of large and mid-capitalisation US issuers. 
 
It is expected that each portfolio will typically consist of 20 to 25 holdings, each representing between 3-5 per cent of the portfolio.
 
Issuers that offer good value and the potential for growth in their industry are considered alongside factors like market penetration, earnings estimates and quality of management.
