The Consulting Consortium (TCC), a specialist in UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) culture and conduct risk, has appointed Phil Deeks as technical director to its advisory team.

Deeks (pictured) brings nearly 20 years’ experience in risk, regulation, compliance and conduct, and joins TCC from the FCA where he was a technical specialist within the life insurance and financial advice sector.

Prior to this, he held various senior compliance roles at Deloitte and Legal & General.

In his new role, Deeks will be responsible for technical oversight of client projects, research into regulatory requirements and expectations, and providing support in developing advisory strategies and business relationships.

Darrell Evans, chief executive officer at TCC, says: “Phil is a key strategic addition to the Advisory team and brings with him invaluable knowledge and experience within culture and conduct risk that will add exceptional value to our clients. His appointment reflects our commitment to the industry and supports our vision in guiding our clients to a future where company culture governs conduct.”

Deeks says: “TCC has an impressive reputation in the industry and I’m excited to join the firm at a time when culture and conduct have never been higher on the industry’s agenda.”
