Family Office Exchange (FOX) has appointed Peter Roach as market leader for Australia and New Zealand, succeeding Melissa James who continues as co-facilitator of the FOX Family Enterprise Council meetings.
FOX will be offering a one day workshop for qualified family leaders, board members and family office executives on 10 February 2017 in Melbourne.
Entitled “Building an Enduring Family Enterprise,” the workshop will help in developing a plan for the future based on a strong, unified family vision that integrates the many facets of an enterprise family. The workshop will be conducted by Sara Hamilton, founder and CEO of Family Office Exchange.
Roach will work on expanding the FOX membership base in the region and guiding families and advisors on global best practices.
James will continue to jointly run the twice annual FOX Family Enterprise Council meetings with Roach and work in a special project capacity with FOX. Now in its third year, the council is a peer group of family leaders and executives working collaboratively to resolve the challenges they face in ensuring the long term well-being of their families and family enterprises. The next meeting of the council is scheduled for 9 February 2017 in Melbourne.
Roach was chief executive officer of the Fairfax family office Cambooya Services from 2000 to 2012. In conjunction with that role, he was a non-executive director of Rural Press, Landis+Gyr and other boards associated with the family’s media and private equity interests.
Since stepping down from that role, he continues to serve as an independent, non-executive director of various boards of generational families across Australia. In addition to Cambooya Services, Roach has also worked with one of Australia’s largest banks, developing its family office services.
“We are pleased to make available to the growing FOX membership in Australia and New Zealand an accomplished family office practitioner like Peter Roach,” says Alexandre Monnier, president of FOX. “His experience will benefit our members and attract new members to our council peer group.”
