Cazenove Capital has appointed Bob Hair as a wealth planning director and head of the firm’s Edinburgh office.

Hair will join the company on 31 October 2016 with responsibility for the management of the office and provide investment structuring and tax-efficient investment advice to clients.

He joins from PwC in London where he was a senior director in the investment advisory business advising high net worth and ultra-high net worth clients.

In addition, he acted as chair of PwC's FCA committee, was a member of the investment committee and had a lead role in developing PwC's private/family office service.

Prior to PwC, Hair was with Turcan Connell, an Edinburgh-based multi-disciplinary private client firm where he headed the wealth management function, was a member of the executive board and the firm’s investment committee.

William Fox, head of UK regional private wealth management, says: “We are delighted to welcome Bob to our Edinburgh team. He has extensive experience and knowledge and we believe he will be invaluable in continuing to grow our wealth management business in Scotland, providing overall wealth management services to clients including both portfolio management and wealth planning."
