Independent trust, fund, real estate and corporate services provider First Names Group has promoted Karen O’Hanlon to managing director of its Singapore business.

The appointment is effective immediately.

O’Hanlon will lead the team in Singapore, continuing to build on the foundations developed over her last two years as director with First Names Group.

O’Hanlon has nearly 30 years of global experience providing trust services to corporates and family businesses.

“Karen is a highly experienced professional who I am certain will be an invaluable asset as we continue to attract new business and deepen our footprint in the region. Her promotion is very well earned and I am extremely happy to have Karen leading our Singapore team into 2017. She is a firm believer of our collaborative, client centric, people-focused approach and her impressive track record and proactive personality are important elements which have led her to this next step,” says Mark Pesco, First Names Group CEO.

O’Hanlon will work in close conjunction with the Hong Kong team to deliver First Names Group’s long-term expansion strategy in Asia.

“Singapore plays an integral role in our Asia offering, in particular for our corporate and private clients. I look forward to working closely with the international leadership team as well as my colleagues in Hong Kong and Singapore to strengthen the group’s positioning in Asia and grow the business out here,” says O’Hanlon.
