Gemini Alternative Funds has added the Aspect Core Diversified Programme, a managed futures strategy from Aspect Capital, to the suite of offerings available on the Galaxy Plus Fund managed account platform.

Registered investment advisers (RIAs) as well as pensions, endowments, private wealth groups and other institutional investors in the US can now invest in the Aspect Core Diversified Programme from London-based Aspect Capital through Galaxy Plus.

"We created Galaxy Plus to provide alternative asset investors with an independent, cost-effective solution that offers the flexibility, transparency and liquidity that they experience when investing in mutual funds," says David Young (pictured), president of Gemini Alternative Funds. "The steady addition of strategies commodity trading advisers (CTAs) like Aspect Capital validates the strength of the solution we have built. We look forward to our continued growth and diversifying the Galaxy Plus platform."

Aspect Capital was founded in 1997, and manages USD6 billion allocated among a range of systematic and quantitative investment strategies, as of 1 December 2016. The firm's team seeks to produce strong, diversifying streams of alpha for client portfolios.

The Aspect Core Diversified Program applies a proprietary and systematic quantitative investment approach, which seeks to identify and exploit directional moves in over 110 contracts and over 85 markets. This objective is achieved through the use of medium-term trend following strategies which are applied to many of the most liquid global financial and commodity futures and currency forwards. The systematic strategy's goal is to generate pure momentum-based returns, with targeted annualised volatility of 10 per cent, which are uncorrelated to major asset classes.

"We are delighted that the Aspect Core Diversified Program has been added to the Galaxy Plus Fund platform. Gemini Alt's long-term expertise in managed futures makes them an excellent partner for Aspect Capital. We are confident that this partnership will enable us to serve the growing demand for alternative investment in the US by giving easy access to a high quality product to RIAs and institutional investors without sacrificing control and transparency," says Anthony Todd, CEO of Aspect Capital.
