Newly-formed Claybrook Capital has joined the Dynasty network of advisory firms.

Based in Boston, MA, Claybrook Capital was launched by Jerry Nigro who was formerly a managing director and investment adviser at Robertson Stephens.

Also joining from Robertson Stephens is Virginia Madden, managing director at Claybrook Capital.

Claybrook Capital is an independent, employee-owned firm. Its independent wealth management model serves the specific needs and interests of wealthy individuals, families and foundations.

“As a team with deep experience working with high net worth families, we are pleased to launch Claybrook Capital,” says Nigro. “We are looking forward to working with our clients with the goal of maximising their after-tax returns with an acceptable level of risk – with minimal conflicts. Working with Dynasty Financial Partners, we are positioning our new wealth management firm for future expansion.”

Claybrook Capital’s goal is to maximise client’s after-tax returns with an acceptable level of risk. Its investment recommendations are oriented toward the long term with an eye on what is happening within the business cycle today. The firm’s strategies are founded in quantitative and qualitative analysis, monitored continuously across market cycles.

The firm offers broad diversification for client portfolios by analysing various asset classes, capital markets, countries, regions, sectors, styles, and holding periods. It takes advantage of market volatility to enhance income as well as to hedge downside risk.

The firm also specialises in providing sophisticated options overlay strategies.

Nigro has been working with high net worth families for more than two decades. Prior to Robertson Stephens, Nigro spent seven years at UBS where he was a senior vice president and senior portfolio manager. Previously, he worked at The Goldman Sachs Group, for eight years.

Claybrook Capital has formed strategic partnerships with some of the leading providers, including Fidelity Custody and Clearing Solutions.

Dynasty Financial Partners will provide robust analytics and operational support.

Claybrook Capital has selected Callan Associates for institutional research.

“Jerry and his team have extraordinary experience in working with wealthy clients and their families on developing long-range financial planning and risk management strategies,” says Shirl Penney, Dynasty’s CEO. “We are proud to welcome Claybrook Capital as a Dynasty network advisory firm and we look forward to partnering with them to serve their clients and to position their firm for future growth.”
