Hang Seng Indexes appoints advisory committee members

Hang Seng Indexes has appointed two new members of the Hang Seng Index Advisory Committee.

The new appointments come into immediate effect.
 
Stephen Po is the former senior director and head of the SFC’s Intermediaries Supervision Department, with responsibilities that included overseeing key supervisory activities and helping to formulate and implement anti-money laundering measures. He is also the former chairman of the International Organisation of Securities Commissions Committee on the Regulation of Market Intermediaries.
 
Kam Keung Tse is the chief executive officer of Tradelink Electronic Commerce. Before taking up his current position in 2015, Tse had worked in the financial markets industry for more than 20 years.
 
The committee is an independent advisory body comprised of 14 members, including 10 members who are specialists drawn from the Hong Kong SAR Government, universities, professional services, and the institutional investor and investment consultant communities. The committee meets regularly to discuss matters relating to the Hang Seng Family of Indexes.
