RELATED TOPICS

Rowan Dartington has appointed Adrian Clark as its new chief operating officer (COO) based in Bristol.

Clark, who has a career spanning 32 years in the financial services industry, is replacing Ben Cooper who will be taking a commercial director position at the firm.

Employed within many sectors of the insurance industry, from UK life and pensions to general insurance, Clark played a key role in developing Legal & General’s presence in South Wales during his nine years as COO of the Cardiff location.

He was awarded an OBE for his contribution to the financial services industry in Wales.

He most recently undertook roles for the Welsh Government within the Global Inward Investment Department and the Health & Social services arena.

At Rowan Dartington, Clark will be responsible for the overall management of the firm across England and Scotland, ensuring that all business areas comply with policies on remuneration, human resources, training and customer servicing.

Cooper will be responsible for the non-organic expansion of the business.

Graham Coxell, Rowan Dartington’s executive chairman, says: “The business is growing steadily and we are still very much committed to developing our presence across the whole of the UK ultimately meaning more hires. In this context, Adrian is going to be a real asset to ensure consistency across our branches, in terms of customer servicing but also to guarantee our staff well-being and ongoing professional development. We are very pleased that someone with so much experience in this field is joining us at such an important time in Rowan Dartington’s development.”
