Boston Private, a provider of wealth management, trust and private banking services, has appointed Mark Shang as the west coast leader of its private partnership practice.

In this role, he will oversee a team of professionals dedicated to meeting the cash management, lending, wealth management and trust needs of private equity and venture capital firms and their executives.
“Mark is a talented leader who brings over two decades of financial services and private equity experience and expertise to our Private Partnership clients,” says Gerald Graves, executive managing director, Boston Private Wealth. “We’re excited to have him on board and look forward to his contributions as we continue to grow Boston Private’s presence on the west coast.”
Shang joins Boston Private from Serent Capital, a San Francisco-based private equity firm, where he served as chief financial officer. Before joining Serent Capital, he was director, transaction services at PricewaterhouseCoopers, working with private equity firms and strategic acquirers.
