DWA selects Orion to power wealth management platform

RELATED TOPICS

Dynamic Wealth Advisors (DWA), an investment adviser and practice development firm servicing independently-owned advisory practices, has selected Orion Advisor Services as the portfolio accounting solution for its multi-custodian wealth management platform.

DWA's target market is RIA firms with under USD250 million in assets under management (AUM), and individual advisers with AUM ranging from USD20 million to USD150 million, with the goal of providing those firms with the services and support structure they need to successfully operate and grow their practices.

"We realised in order to fully leverage our integrated Wealth360 platform and take advantage of the opportunity we see in the marketplace, we needed a partner with a chassis that other advisory technology solutions could easily bolt onto," says Jim Cannon, DWA founder and CEO. "We knew we wanted to continue to focus on our core strength of providing practice management, operational and compliance services, and didn't want to be in the portfolio management system business. Orion's technology and open API have substantially improved our offering with the freedom to seamlessly integrate, on-board and service advisory practices in a very efficient manner."

The selection of Orion means that DWA's advisers have access to portfolio accounting tools and integrations with solutions like Salesforce, Sharefile, MoneyGuidePro and Riskalyze. Through Orion's integration with DWA's customised version of Salesforce, advisers go from a client record in Salesforce to viewing financial account information like billing set up, trading models, transactions, and running performance reports.

"The Orion platform provides the power to scale an advisory firm's operations, and we are excited to see how Dynamic Wealth Advisors puts Orion's performance reporting, billing, and trading capabilities to use to serve the unique needs of the advisors they serve," says Orion CEO Eric Clarke.
