Snowden Lane Partners, an independent, adviser-owned wealth advisory firm has appointed Michelle Begina, formerly of Morgan Stanley, to the Veritas Private Wealth Management Group in New York City as a senior partner and managing director.
Begina will work directly with Veritas’ senior partners and managing directors, Jesse Clinton, Phil Pedrena, Joseph Hubbell and Michael Mahoney, who will oversee more than USD400 million in client assets.
Snowden Lane’s total client assets now exceed USD3 billion.
“Apart from the technical skills and multiple credentials she’s acquired in a two-decades-long career, Michelle understands the nuances of managing client relationships to ensure long-term financial goals are met, and wherever possible, exceeded,” says Clinton. “We’re in the midst of one of the most dynamic times in US market history and we’re fortunate to have someone with Michelle’s experience and capabilities join our practice.”
Begina specialises in long-term retirement planning with an emphasis on income, healthcare expenses, taxes, estate, education, and asset preservation. She worked as a wealth management adviser with Merrill Lynch from 1998 to 2008 and joined Morgan Stanley in 2008 where she served as a vice president and financial adviser.
“Now, more than ever, investors need to be reassured that the long-term financial plan they’ve activated with their advisor’s support can offer them a solid path to achieving their goals, despite inevitable market disruptions,” says Begina. “I’ve always believed that such planning, accounting for near-term market uncertainty, and with an eye on the big picture, accounts for a client’s long-term financial needs. The team at Snowden Lane shares that belief, which is what drew me to what is truly the best independent financial advisory firm in the business.”
