Lombard International Assurance, a provider of wealth structuring solutions, has appointed David Liebmann as head of French market.

In this role, Liebmann reports to Luca Bertacchi, regional sales director, Central and Southern Europe.

Liebmann, based in Luxembourg, has responsibility for the overall sales strategy for France and for further developing new opportunities in the market, growing business with new and existing distribution partners.

This appointment follows the opening of the French representative office in Paris last year.

“We are delighted to welcome David to the team. His knowledge and expertise of the French market will prove invaluable in the development of our operations there,” says Bertacchi. “His distribution experience will enable us to maximise the growth opportunities we are seeing in the French market, providing our partners with the highest quality support in developing expert wealth structuring solutions that we are synonymous with.”

Liebmann spent the last seven years as deputy head of sales France & Monaco at Carmignac, where he was in charge of the distribution of Carmignac Funds through private banks, discretionary wealth managers and family offices. Prior to this, Liebmann worked at Rothschild & Cie in Paris, and Banque Privée 1818.

Liebmann says: “I am excited to be joining the firm in this period of growth. Lombard International Assurance has an excellent reputation of supporting their partners and clients by offering world class solutions and excellence. I am looking forward to further enhancing our presence in the market.”
