Lyxor ETFs reports net new assets in February of nearly double one year average


Marlène Hassine (pictured), Head of ETF Research at Lyxor ETFs, reports that net new assets over February amounted to EUR9.4 billion, nearly twice the one year average of EUR4.9 billion.

She writes that total assets under management are up 7 per cent compared to the end of 2016, reaching EUR551billion.

The Lyxor ETF research found that in February, equity ETFs witnessed strong inflows at EUR4.6 billio, with both emerging and developed markets benefiting.
Hassine writes that there was continued support for Global Equity ETFs on the back of increased optimism, with inflows at EUR0.7 billion.

There was a trend reversal for Emerging Markets, as inflows were positive at EUR0.8 billion while smart beta is still captivating investors, who saw significant inflows of EUR1.1 billion, she writes. “However, investors are still seeking stability as inflows into Fixed Income ETFs reached a seven month record high of EUR3.2 billion.
