Lombard International Assurance, a specialist in wealth structuring solutions, has appointed Ranald Munro to the new role of general counsel for its European operations.

He will report to Axel Hörger, European CEO of Lombard International Assurance.
Munro will lead a multi-disciplinary team including legal, regulatory affairs, risk and compliance functions which will be responsible for ensuring the provision of commercial and corporate services, and advice to the European business. In addition, he will join the senior management team and will be involved in developing and implementing the European growth strategy.

Hörger says: “We are thrilled to have Ranald join our team. We are operating in a period of rapid regulatory and fiscal change and Ranald’s wealth of legal and compliance experience will be invaluable as the geopolitical landscape becomes ever more complex. His expertise, international background and diverse leadership experience will be a major asset as we work together to grow the business across our key European markets.”
Munro says: “I’m delighted to be joining the leadership team of a firm with such a strong brand in the wealth structuring sector, and I look forward to playing my part in contributing to Lombard International Assurance's continued success.”
