Quilter Cheviot adds to business development team

Quilter Cheviot – part of Old Mutual Wealth – has added to its business development team with the appointment of Jonathan Buttress as regional development manager for East Anglia.

Buttress joined the investment management firm in March from Liverpool Victoria, where he worked as a retirement consultant for over five years. Prior to that he worked in business development roles at Connaught Asset Management and Verbatim Asset Management.
Buttress will report to Andrew McGlone, managing director, London investment management, and will be tasked with fulfilling new business targets, as well as developing new and existing relationships with financial advisers and other professional entities. He joins the firm following the promotion of David Butler to strategic accounts director.
Buttress says: “I am very pleased to have joined Quilter Cheviot and excited to be working for a firm that is renowned for its first-rate collaboration with intermediaries in delivering DFM solutions for clients.”
McGlone says: “We are delighted to welcome Jonathan to Quilter Cheviot. He brings with him vast experience and a solid understanding of the financial services industry, making him a great fit for our London business development team. I have no doubt that his knowledge and expertise will further strengthen the team and enable us to continue to deliver an excellent service to our introducers and clients.”
Quilter Cheviot offers bespoke investment solutions and extensive regional knowledge and experience to a range of private client, trust, charity and pension fund portfolios.
