Dearborn Partners, an independent Chicago investment management firm, has added investment manager Peter J Deakos to its team.
Deakos (pictured) has more than 18 years of investment experience.
He joins Dearborn Partners from Wells Fargo Advisors where he was first vice president and portfolio manager. In 2013, Deakos created and launched a multi-asset portfolio designed to generate current income as well as growth of income for clients. The multi-asset portfolio grew to more than USD3 billion in assets under his management in three years.
Deakos joins the Dearborn Partners Rising Dividend Strategy co-managed by Carol M Lippman and Michael B. Andelman. That strategy was launched in September of 2011 and recently surpassed USD2 billion in assets under management. The Rising Dividend Strategy focuses on quality companies that are believed to be capable of steadily increasing dividends, offering investors the potential for long-term investing success.
“It’s no secret that today retirees and many others need a rising stream of income. At Dearborn Partners, we take great pride in helping investors meet those needs,” says Lippman.
“Peter deepens our already-strong investment management team to help us grow and find new ways to meet investors’ needs,” adds Andelman.
“I am excited to join the successful team at Dearborn Partners and reinforce their superior expertise and capabilities,” says Deakos. “I especially look forward to teaming up with Carol again to create meaningful growth for our clients.”
Deakos’ experience at Wells Fargo and AG Edwards included wealth and trust portfolio management and extensive equity analysis.
